Health Disclaimer
Applicable to all classes, therapy consultations, and online sessions · Advaitha Yoga, Hyderabad
Yoga and yoga therapy at Advaitha Yoga complement, and do not replace, professional medical diagnosis, clinical treatment, or physician care.
Consultation with Medical Professionals
Always consult your primary care doctor, physician, or relevant medical specialist before beginning a new exercise, yoga, or yoga therapy program. This is especially crucial if you:
- Are currently pregnant or planning pregnancy
- Have pre-existing cardiovascular conditions, hypertension (high blood pressure), or low blood pressure
- Have had recent surgery, spinal fusion, joint replacement, or acute injuries
- Suffer from chronic spinal conditions (such as herniated or slipped discs, sciatica, severe cervical spondylosis)
- Manage respiratory conditions, asthma, glaucoma, epilepsy, or metabolic disorders
Prescription Medication Continuity
Continue all prescribed medications, therapeutic regimes, and clinical visits exactly as directed by your healthcare providers. Yoga and pranayama should be integrated as supportive, lifestyle management tools and must never be treated as an excuse to discontinue pharmaceutical medications or medically necessary therapies.
Immediate Practice Cessation
If at any time during a class or home practice you experience sudden pain, sharp pinching, dizziness, lightheadedness, nausea, breathlessness, or unusual palpitations, cease the practice immediately, rest in a neutral position (such as Shavasana or Balasana), and seek qualified medical attention if symptoms persist.
Individual Results & Research Nature
Descriptions of physiological and mental benefits on this website reflect classical yogic literature, traditional texts, and modern integrative wellness studies. Human physiology varies widely, and responses to yoga postures, breath control, and meditation differ significantly based on anatomy, lifestyle, and adherence. Results cannot be guaranteed for any single individual.
Duty of Disclosure
It is the student’s responsibility to disclose full and accurate health information to Advaitha Yoga instructors prior to the start of each session. If your health condition changes at any point during your enrolment, please inform your teacher immediately so appropriate posture modifications and props can be arranged.
